How to Measure Your Ring Size
How to Measure Your Ring Size
If the ring you receive doesn’t fit, resizing is available — see our Ring Resize Service.
Method 1 — Use a ring you already own (Most accurate)
1. If you already know the size of a ring that fits you comfortably, just tell us that size.
If you don’t know the size of your ring, follow Method 2 to measure its inner diameter.
Method 2 — Measure the inner diameter of your ring (Second accurate)
- Place the ring on a ruler and read the inner diameter across the center line (mm).
- Match the number with the table below to find your US size.
| Diameter (mm) | US Size |
|---|---|
| 14.05 | 3 |
| 14.45 | 3½ |
| 14.85 | 4 |
| 15.27 | 4½ |
| 15.70 | 5 |
| 16.10 | 5½ |
| 16.51 | 6 |
| 16.92 | 6½ |
| 17.35 | 7 |
| 17.75 | 7½ |
| 18.19 | 8 |
| 18.53 | 8½ |
| 18.89 | 9 |
| 19.41 | 9½ |
| 19.84 | 10 |
| 20.20 | 10½ |
| 20.69 | 11 |
| 21.09 | 11½ |
| 21.49 | 12 |
| 21.89 | 12½ |
| 22.33 | 13 |
Method 3 — Measure your finger circumference (Less accurate)
- Cut a paper strip no wider than 5 mm.
- Wrap it around the base of your finger, mark the overlap, then lay it flat and measure the length (mm).
- As per our guide: subtract 2 mm from the measured length to account for paper thickness, then match the value with the table below.
Important notes for the wrapped-paper method:
- Using paper wider than 5 mm → readings tend to be larger than the true size.
- Using a wide sewing tape → can introduce measurement errors.
- Using string → elasticity (stretch/shrink) from pulling can cause inaccuracies.
| Circumference (mm) | US Size |
|---|---|
| 43.4 | 3 |
